Notice Boards Wide Rules

Post by MK Emaster Mon 17 Aug 2009 - 10:07

First of all welcome to Gaming Chamber forum! Very Happy
Rules and Guidelines
Remember that these rules are here to keep this a nice and friendly forum. Breaking one of these rules will lead to a warning (or if you really did it a direct suspension). After receiving multiple warnings a fitting punishment will be used. In the worst cases this can lead to a temporary ban or even a IP-ban, so don't say you haven't been warned.

No spamming
The spamming is the most prohibited action in this site, spamming is posting one-worded post or posting something useless, the punishment of this action may lead to IP-Ban!

Never double-post
Only if there is no other way you are allowed to double post. For the rest we have a edit button so if you need to add something use it.

Try to stay on topic at all times. Try not to drift off topic during a thread conversation. Please don't join in with off topic discussion even if others are. Instead, try starting a new thread and linking to it. Off topic posts may get deleted, and threads that really get out of hand will be closed, there is an off-topic section but not spam!

Use short, concise thread titles. When posting a new thread, it's a good idea to use a short, yet informative title, so it is not too long and other Visitors to the Forum know what your thread is about.

Do not flood a forum. Flooding is where you post to many threads in a short period of time, perhaps to stay on top of the forum stats, or just to have your name all over the first page of a forum so you are popular, or perhaps because you want someone to see you post a lot there. Other members and guests want to use the forum as well as you. Give them a chance by allowing them to be the last person to reply to a thread.

No flaming
A comment is classed as flaming when it insults or is designed to otherwise offend another member. I don’t ask to agree with each other, only to respect each others opinions and thoughts. Also don’t use any fule language.

Do not bypass the sensor
You really should use any of these words in the first place. Though as simple defence we have a sensor which picks up some common words that doesn't belong on this forum. Words that got picked up will be replaced with *Bleeb*. This sensor is relative easy to bypass, but doing this will be seen as a serious offence.

No pornography or otherwise indecent content
Posting unsuitable images, writing or links to such material is prohibited. As a general rule, anything that isn't work-safe should not be posted, but if you must post a link that may be borderline then make sure you provide adequate warning about its contents.

Exercise good grammar and post etiquette
This is a discussion forum, not a chat room, so please make an effort with your posts. If a reply is rendered almost impossible to read because of poor punctuation, spelling and all-round messy typing, then it's no better than spam, even if you might have something worthwhile to say.

Don’t abuse the Private message system
Though we have a private message system don’t abuse it to send of spam. If you do so it will be seen as spam and proper measures shall be taken. Including blocking the PM system from your account.

Do not attempt to distribute or discuss Warez, ROMs, CD keys, CD key generators, cracks or any other illegal software or counterfeit merchandise. This includes the provision of links to source websites and/or file transfer software or download locations for the obtaining of this material. I recommends that you buy all your software legally! No copying!

Plagiarism is forbidden
Any member who attempts to take credit for someone else's work, be it art, writing or graphics. Plagiarism is unacceptable in the real world and will not be tolerated here. When posting artwork it's also advised that you don't "forget" to mention that some or all of the picture may have been copied or traced. Links that go directly to copyrighted are also forbidden en shall be directly removed.

Illegal Activities
Talking about Illegal Activities is strict forbidden. If there is just one thing that I hate most it is people that use illegal measures to achieve there goals. Links or conversations about this shall be directly removed. Even sending a personal message regarding this subject is forbidden.
